The “Sea Pirate” is a Multi-Purpose Fast Response Vessel.
She is 40′ X 10′ aluminum hull, with WING hybrid closed cell foam collar. The vessel has a fully heated cabin, over-sized head, powered by twin Yamaha 300 OFF SHORE SERIES V-6 motors. The hull is a proven robust design for handling rough seas. She is fully beachable and has a custom folding bow ladder between two push knees. The vessel can push, pull, and tow up to 100 tons – on scene, weather permitting. Her cruising speed is 25 knots. She has firefighting pumps that can be mounted fore & aft on top of her tow posts. The idea was so she would have multiple capabilities.
This vessel is a one-of-a-kind custom build by Workskiff, a premier aluminum boat builder known for rugged, purpose-built craft. These boats are what we like to call “Melino Proof”—designed and customized from the ground up to meet the captain’s exact specifications for the tough, unpredictable jobs of Southeast Alaska.
