My name is John Melino. While not born in Alaska, I have an addiction to it. You will soon see why. I have been on the water from Kodiak to Juneau for the last 10 years and before that Hawaii, Puerto Rico, USVI & BVI. I hold a 200 Ton Near Coastal USCG License, with Unlimited RADAR and Commercial Assistance Towing. Currently earning Local Limited Master of Towing.
I am qualified as:
- Emergency First Responder
- PADI MSDT
- Level II Hazmat Qualified
- SEAPRO Oil Spill Response Captain
And, I’m known in the community as an aggressive boat driver with a ” Yeah, we can do that!” attitude.
